This anomaly has limited the efficacy and practicality of legacy combustion launch systems. The Green Launch injection methodology allows controlled, prolonged acceleration of the vehicle while it is moving up the launch tube. This gas injection system resulted in projectile launch velocities of 2.4 km/sec (Mach 7) during testing.
